In a video conference message, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the commencement of the 20th edition of the World Youth Festival in Sochi, with the participation of 20,000 youths representing 187 countries.

The festival in Sochi will feature a variety of activities, events, seminars, and diverse discussions in economics, science, technology, culture, arts, sports, and competitions in knowledge and sports.

It also includes the World Book Forum, where 25,000 books collected from participating guests from all countries have been donated to this library for book exchange.

Participants bringing a book will receive a gift representing Russian folk heritage.

The opening ceremony showcased a stunning global performance relying on the latest technologies, attended by numerous official figures from around the world.

The display, based on the latest in technology and creativity with the participation of high-level artists and specialists from Russia, was described as the most powerful global performance in the opening of world events.

The festival's venue, accommodating thousands as part of the festival's organization, includes buildings for each republic of the Russian Federation, showcasing their unique culture and traditional cuisine.

Egypt's participation in the 20th edition of the World Youth Festival in Sochi is marked by a distinguished delegation of 126 young men and women, led by the Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports, Abdullah Al-Batsh, and the Deputy Head of the Delegation, Sherif Gad, President of the Egyptian Association of Graduates from Russian and Soviet Universities and Director of Cultural Activities at the Russian Cultural Center.

The Egyptian delegation comprises an exceptional group of youths in terms of foreign language proficiency, modern technology, global youth communication abilities, and unique personal skills, impressing other delegations from the first day of interaction.
