At least 20 children and one adult were killed after a school bus crashed in eastern Uganda, police said on Friday.
According to Ugandan police, the accident occurred on Thursday evening in the Kapchorwa district as the bus was returning from a school trip to the Sipi Falls tourist area.
Several survivors, including three adults and several children, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Authorities have not yet released the total number of people injured.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
