Two Filipino soldiers were killed and another wounded following an ambush by unidentified gunmen in the town of Tuburan, located in Basilan Province.
According to the Philippine Army, the attack occurred while the soldiers were patrolling the area on motorcycles. The military expressed hope for the swift recovery of the injured soldier.
In response to the incident, security forces launched an operation to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
