Two residents of King County in Seattle, Washington, are being monitored at home after a possible exposure to hantavirus, according to Seattle Public Health authorities.
Officials said the two individuals had been seated on a flight near a passenger who had come from a cruise ship and was later removed from the aircraft after being found ill and subsequently testing positive.
Health authorities emphasized that the two monitored residents are currently showing no symptoms but are being observed as a precautionary measure.
