Officials in the United States have reported that two people were killed and seven others, including a police officer, were injured in a shooting at the City Place Doral complex in Florida.
According to the Miami police, a brawl broke out around 3:30 a.m. at a bar in the shopping center, prompting the security guard on duty to intervene, as reported by NBC Miami.
Authorities stated that the armed individual involved in the altercation pulled out a gun and shot the guard, killing him.
American media outlets reported that the police fired at the gunman, killing him, but not before a police officer and six bystanders were injured in the exchange of gunfire.
Two of the bystanders were described as critical, while the officer's condition was described as stable after being shot in the leg.
A video captured a medical helicopter arriving at the hospital in the early hours of the morning and transporting an individual on a stretcher, with a man seen standing in the back of an ambulance with his hand covered in bandages.
