At least two people were killed and three others injured on Monday following a shooting incident in the southern French city of Nice, according to the local prosecutor’s office.
Initial reports from French media said a vehicle carrying two individuals drove through the Moulins district before one of the occupants opened fire multiple times, leaving several victims at the scene.

Security forces quickly responded to the area and launched a large-scale operation as authorities continued to secure the scene and gather evidence.
Officials have not yet revealed the motive behind the attack, and the identities of the suspects remain unknown. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and identify those responsible.
