Two people were killed and three others injured after a shooting in a home Tuesday night in Scotland.
The Department of Public Safety (DPS) revealed that one person was airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the condition of the two other victims is unknown.
On his part, DPS spokesman Tony Mangan said the shooting took place at a Scotland residence, but the house address was not immediately available. The reason for the shooting also remained under investigation.
Accordingly, a man was taken into custody without incident by the county sheriff and local police, according to the DPS. The Highway Patrol and Division of Criminal Investigation are assisting.
The name of the man who was arrested has not been released.
