The Israeli army announced on Thursday that it had struck Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.

The Israeli army said that the bombing targeted an observation post towards the Mediterranean Sea, where anti-tank fire was fired, in response to shooting by Hezbollah members at Israel.

For its part, the Lebanese "Hezbollah" announced in a statement, "Two of its members were killed in confrontations with the Israeli army in southern Lebanon."

Last Monday, Lebanese Hezbollah announced the bombing of 5 new Israeli sites on the Lebanese border. "Hezbollah" said, "The Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon targeted five Israeli sites.

It is noteworthy that Israel's borders with both Syria and Lebanon are witnessing a state of increasing tension in conjunction with the ongoing war between Israel and the Palestinian "Hamas" movement in the besieged Gaza Strip.
