Two people were killed in a stabbing attack in the Israeli city of Holon, near Tel Aviv, according to medical officials.

The victims were identified as a 66-year-old woman and an approximately 80-year-old man. Two other individuals were injured in the attack.

The assailant, a resident of the West Bank, was neutralized at the scene and was later declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

A 26-year-old man who was injured in the incident recounted that he was walking his dog when the attacker ran towards him and stabbed him in the shoulder. He managed to escape and seek help at a nearby bus terminal, where he realized he was not the only victim.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. He commended the police for dealing with the attacker and stated that all those who aided the assailant will be held accountable.

Israel's Minister for State Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, visited the site of the attack and called upon Israelis to arm themselves for self-defense, emphasizing the importance of self-protection in the face of such threats.
