Two people were killed after a small aircraft crashed and caught fire at an airport in the US state of Arizona, authorities confirmed.
The incident occurred at a local airfield in the town of Marana, where the aircraft reportedly veered off the runway before igniting, according to Marana Mayor John Post.
In a statement, the Marana Police Department said the National Transportation Safety Board has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
Officials have not yet released further details about the victims or the circumstances surrounding the incident.
