D.C. police chief Robert J. Contee affirmed that five people were shot with four being transported by ambulance to area hospitals. Two victims died and three others had non-life threatening injuries.

“There appears to be some type of dispute that occurred between our two groups of inpiduals," Contee claimed. "Subsequently, there were gunshots and as a result of that we have two of our citizens who are now dead.”

However, he did not release any further information on the suspect regarding the shooting, but he did say police are not ruling out multiple suspects.
