Egypt's ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco Ashraf Ibrahim, said on Friday that Morocco's Wydad have confirmed two Coronavirus cases among the squad before their encounter against Al Ahly, tonight, in the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.

He stated to Zamalek TV channel: "Wydad discovered two coronavirus cases- a player and a member of technical staff."

He added: "Horoya Conakry of Guinea has 9 coronavirus cases before facing Pyramids FC, and the CAF is the only one, which decides on that matter, in terms of taking the necessary medical measures after isolating their  players."

"I appeal to the Egyptian fans to have their hearts with Al Ahly against Wydad as well as Zamalek in Sunday's confrontation against Raja, as the 2 teams represent the name and reputation of Egyptian football," he concluded.

The Moroccan newspaper, Al-Montakhab, said that Wydad's player who had contracted coronavirus is Salah El-Din Al-Saeedi alongside a management coach.
