Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and Minister of Communications and Information Technology (CIT) Amr Talaat will partake on Sunday in the 1st international conference on artificial intelligence (AI) and modern Information Technologies (IT).
The conference will be organized by the Computer and Information Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities.
The event, which will witness the participation of scientists and experts in the fields of artificial intelligence and smart systems will be held on September 8-9 in the Egyptian capital.
Several topics will be discussed during the event, including strategies and methodologies to promote innovation in Egypt through the use of artificial intelligence and modern information technologies, as well as the exchange of knowledge and expertise to achieve Egypt Vision 2030 for sustainable development.
Additional sessions will also be held on the fringe of the conference. The sessions are expected to discuss Singapore's strategy for development, visions for improving the IT industry, the universities strategy to improve AI, the impact of digitalization, the future of innovation, and smart universities.
An exhibition on innovation and AI will be held on the sidelines of the conference. The exhibition will witness the participation of 12 leading international IT companies such as Cisco and IBM, as well as the universities of Cairo, Ain Shams, Zewail and Nile.
