At least 18 tourists have died, and around 20 others were injured in a tragic bus accident in eastern Thailand, according to local reports.
The crash occurred in Prachinburi Province, about 120 kilometers from Bangkok.
The accident happened while a group of 200 tourists was traveling in three buses. One of the buses lost control, hit a concrete barrier, and overturned.
The vehicle was carrying 47 passengers and two drivers at the time. Reports indicate that the bus was en route from Bueng Kan Province in northeastern Thailand to the popular tourist destination of Rayong.
Local authorities confirmed that about 20 injured individuals have been hospitalized, while rescue teams continue searching for any missing passengers.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, but no information has been released regarding the nationalities of the victims so far.
