At least 18 people were killed and 29 others injured after a vehicle carrying returning refugees overturned in eastern Afghanistan on Wednesday.
The crash occurred near the Surkhkano area in Laghman Province along the Kabul–Jalalabad highway, according to local authorities.
Officials said the vehicle lost control and overturned, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries among the passengers. Emergency responders transported the wounded to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
The victims were reportedly refugees returning to Afghanistan when the accident occurred.
