At least 17 Palestinians were injured on Saturday evening as Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Tubas and the nearby village of Tayasir in the eastern West Bank. Meanwhile, a Palestinian youth was arrested during a separate raid in the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), 13 of the injuries were due to tear gas inhalation, while others were caused by stun grenades and rubber-coated bullets fired during the incursion into Tubas.

Local witnesses reported that Israeli forces deployed across several neighborhoods in Tubas, triggering confrontations with residents and a heavy military presence throughout the city.

In a separate development, Ameen Abu Alia, head of the village council in al-Mughayyir, confirmed that Israeli troops arrested 22-year-old Kareem Naji Abu Alia after raiding his home. The arrest came amid violent confrontations sparked by the military’s unexpected incursion.

During the raid, Israeli soldiers fired live bullets and tear gas canisters into residential areas, though no injuries were reported from the gunfire.

Settlers Assault Palestinian Civilian

Earlier in the evening, a group of Israeli settlers — under the protection of Israeli forces — attacked the southern area of al-Mughayyir, physically assaulting a local youth and causing him moderate injuries. The incident is part of an ongoing wave of settler violence across the West Bank, often occurring with impunity.

The latest raids and settler violence come amid mounting tensions in the occupied Palestinian territories, where Israeli military operations and settler attacks continue to escalate, drawing international concern over the worsening humanitarian situation.
