A total of 167 aid trucks, including 19 carrying fuel, have reached the Al-Auja and Karm Abu Salem border crossings, marking a crucial effort to deliver humanitarian relief to Gaza’s struggling population. The shipment is part of an ongoing response to severe shortages of food, water, fuel, and medical supplies, which have left residents in a state of crisis.

The aid convoy is set to enter Gaza, providing much-needed supplies as hospitals, bakeries, and water desalination plants face collapse due to fuel shortages. The lack of electricity has severely impacted essential services, with many facilities operating at minimal capacity or shutting down altogether. Humanitarian organizations have repeatedly warned that unless fuel deliveries continue uninterrupted, the situation will worsen rapidly, putting thousands of lives at risk.

The Karm Abu Salem crossing, controlled by Israel, and the Al-Auja crossing, used for aid transit from Egypt, are key entry points for humanitarian assistance. However, restrictions on the quantity and type of aid allowed in have significantly slowed relief efforts. International agencies, including the United Nations, Red Crescent, and humanitarian NGOs, have called for a sustained and expanded humanitarian corridor to ensure aid reaches those in urgent need.

Despite the arrival of this convoy, humanitarian groups stress that 167 trucks are not enough to meet the growing crisis. Bureaucratic delays, security concerns, and logistical challenges continue to obstruct aid deliveries, limiting the speed and efficiency of relief efforts.
