The 155th humanitarian aid convoy has begun its entry to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip through the side gate of the Rafah Land Port, heading toward the Kerem Shalom and Al-Awja crossings in preparation for delivery into the Strip.
An official source stated that the trucks, part of the "Zad Al-Izza from Egypt to Gaza" convoy, carry vast quantities of food and relief supplies.
These include food baskets, flour, fresh bread, legumes, canned goods, medicines, personal care supplies, tents, and petroleum products. The source noted that the trucks undergo inspections by Israeli occupation authorities at the Kerem Shalom crossing in the southeast of the Gaza Strip before being allowed entry.
Israeli occupation forces had closed the crossings connecting to the Gaza Strip on March 2, 2025, following the end of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and the failure to reach a permanent truce.
The occupation breached the ceasefire with intensive aerial bombardment on March 18, 2025, and resumed ground incursions into various areas of the Gaza Strip from which they had previously withdrawn.
