14,600 People Killed in Gun Violence So Far in 2023: Tracker

According to the Gun Violence Archive, 14,600 people have died as a result of gun violence in the US so far in 2023.

521 of those slain were teenagers, and 93 were kids.

As of Saturday, there has been 199 mass shootings.

According to the tracker, suicides continue to account for a large proportion of gun deaths.

515 persons died in accidental shootings, compared to 487 fatalities from shootings by officers.

Texas in the United States was the site of the most recent mass shooting.

In Allen, which is 48 kilometres (about 30 miles) north of Dallas, eight people were murdered on Saturday during a mall shooting. Police also shot and killed the shooter.

At least seven individuals, ranging in age from 5 to 61, had injuries that required hospitalisation. According to authorities, four are in stable condition and three are in serious condition.

Another mass shooting occurred in Texas at the end of last month when a shooter used an AR-15 weapon to murder five of his neighbours, including a 9-year-old kid, inside their Cleveland, Texas, house.

After a four-day manhunt, Francisco Oropesa, the alleged shooter, was apprehended on Tuesday.
