At least 14 people were killed on Monday after lightning struck several areas in Bangladesh, which is experiencing seasonal thunderstorms, officials said.
According to Reuters, fatalities were reported in several districts after sudden storms brought torrential rain and intense lightning.
Local authorities said most of the dead were farmers working in open fields and laborers stranded in exposed areas. Several others were injured and taken to nearby hospitals, some in critical condition.
