Officials in Pakistan announced on Tuesday that 14 people were killed as a result of massive floods caused by monsoon rains in the northwest of the country.
Emergency services spokesman Bilal Faizi said that the rains in the Kohat area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province 11, while three other people were killed in the Hangu and Bajaur areas of the same province.
In turn, the authorities warned of the possibility of massive floods next week in various parts of the country due to continued heavy rainfall in several areas.
Pakistan has been witnessing heavy rainfall since early July, which caused damage to dozens of homes, most of them in the provinces of Punjab and Balochistan.
