At least 14 people have been killed after lightning strikes hit multiple regions of Bangladesh amid seasonal thunderstorms, according to officials on Monday.
The fatalities were reported across several districts following sudden storms that brought heavy rainfall and intense lightning activity. Local authorities said most of the victims were farmers working in open fields or individuals caught outdoors when the storms struck.
Several others were injured and taken to nearby hospitals, with some reported to be in critical condition.
