13,350 Refugees From Nagorno-Karabakh Arrive in Armenia

On Tuesday, Armenia announced that a total of 13,350 refugees arrived from Nagorno-Karabakh since the region's separatists withdrew their weapons to Azerbaijan, announcing a ceasefire.  

Armenian government said on Tuesday: "As of September 26 8:00am, 13,350 forcibly displaced persons entered Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh."

More people of ethnic Armenian refugees started to flee Nagorno-Karabakh following Azerbaijan's control of the region last week.

More than 13,000 people have so far crossed into Armenia which contains the majority of 120,000 ethnic Armenians.

Armenia's government announced plans to welcome the refugees coming from Nagorno-Karabakh.
