A tragic road accident in northern Ivory Coast has claimed the lives of 13 people and left 45 others injured.
The incident occurred when a passenger bus from Mali collided with a fuel tanker, according to local police reports.
The crash took place on Friday evening along the highway connecting the major northern cities of Bouaké and Korhogo.
The police, who regularly monitor fatal accidents, confirmed that the tanker was carrying fuel and traveling in the opposite direction when it struck the bus.
The collision resulted in a massive fire, leading to the deaths of 13 individuals and injuries to 45 others.
