At least 13 COVID-19 patients killed in a fire erupted in a hospital nearby Mumbai city on Friday.
Fire department official told AFP: “There were 17 patients inside when a fire broke out in the ICU of Vijay Vallabh Hospital, out of which 13 died and four have been shifted to other facilities.”
The fire was totally extinguished, and the main reason for the fire is being investigated by the concerned authorities.
This accident is a new tragedy in the series of fatal COVID-19 related crisis. As two days earlier, 22 Coronavirus patients died due to oxygen shortage.
Currently, India is passing through critical medical crisis due to the unstoppable rise in infections driven by new mutated local strain outbreak.
