Up to 12 people were injured in a knife attack at Hamburg's main train station in Germany.
Hamburg police reported, "According to preliminary information, a person is presumed to have injured several people with a knife at the main train station. The suspect has been arrested by police." The German newspaper Bild reported that the suspect is a 39-year old woman.

NDR reported that the attack occurred at 6:05 p.m. German time on Friday.
A fire department spokesman said, according to Deutsche Welle, that six people suffered life-threatening injuries. Three people were seriously injured, and three others sustained minor injuries. The spokesman spoke of a large-scale operation involving rescue workers, firefighters, and police.
