At least 11 people were killed after a civilian aircraft carrying skydivers crashed near the town of Tomblaine in eastern France on Sunday.
The aircraft reportedly went down near the local airport, killing all those on board. Authorities said the victims were believed to be part of a skydiving excursion.
Police have urged residents to avoid the area surrounding the airport as emergency services continue recovery operations and investigators work to determine the cause of the crash.
The accident is among the deadliest civilian aviation incidents reported in France this year.
