At least 100 Yemen's Houthi fighters and pro-government troops have been sent to their death in the past 48 hours during a clash in Marib city, according to Yemeni authorities.

Arab alliance had mounted an operation against Houthi fighters who were about to carry out imminent new attacks in order to seize Yemeni province.

Yemeni authorities revealed that nearly sixty-eight Houthis and 32 loyalists were killed in the latest raids.

The opposition militias rarely announce casualties among their own ranks, although their Al-Masirah channel reported that many regions and fighters have been impacted by Arab Alliance's raids in the Marib province in the past two days.

It's worth mentioning that the extremist Yemeni movement initially escalated their efforts to conquer Marib in February, hoping to gain control of the region's oil resources and strengthen their position in peace talks.

Lately, hundreds of fighters have been killed this month after the Houthis renewed their campaign for the capital city of the oil-rich province.
