The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning the international community's inaction, describing it as tacit complicity in the face of Israel's widespread violations of international law.
The ministry criticized Israel for exploiting the failure of the UN Security Council to fulfill its legal responsibilities. It accused Israel of turning Gaza into a "scorched earth," escalating massacres, displacing civilians, and destroying hospitals and homes.
The statement emphasized the erosion of international legitimacy and credibility, urging the Security Council to implement Resolution 2735, which calls for an immediate ceasefire, the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza, Israel’s withdrawal from the Strip, and the restoration of full Palestinian governance in Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
