Ten people, including the pilot, were killed after a plane crashed in the Bahamas on the country's Independence Day, according to police.
Prime Minister Philip Davis said the tragedy had turned what was meant to be a day of national celebration into a day of mourning.
The nationalities of the victims have not yet been identified.
The crash occurred in the northern part of the Andros archipelago, the largest island group in the Bahamas, located in the Atlantic Ocean north of Cuba.
