10 Dead in Plane Crash in Colombia

At least 10 people have died following the crash of a small aircraft in northwestern Colombia, according to local authorities.

The plane, operated by Pacifica Travel, disappeared on Wednesday during a flight from Juradó to Medellín.

It was later confirmed to have crashed in a rural area of Urrao, a municipality in the Antioquia department.

Onboard were eight passengers and two crew members, none of whom survived the incident.

Adverse weather conditions hamper efforts to recover the victims’ remains in the area.

The regional risk management department has reported that the challenging terrain and inclement weather complicate rescue and recovery operations.

Pacifica Travel has pledged its full support to the families of the victims, promising assistance in dealing with the aftermath of this tragic event.
