City officials described the incident as a direct attack, saying the victim was a 42-year-old man, while the two injured men, both aged 39, were taken for treatment. The suspects fled the scene on a motorcycle, and police have launched an investigation.
The shooting occurred in Santo Domingo Square, a historic district near the Zócalo that has long been associated with the production and sale of forged documents.
