One person was killed and three others injured in a shooting following a high school graduation ceremony in northern California, authorities said.
The shooting occurred Wednesday evening in a parking lot during a graduation event for Sem Yeto High School at Fairfield High School in Fairfield, southwest of Sacramento.
Police said an 18-year-old victim died at the scene, while three others, a child aged 11 and two adults aged 20 and 25, were taken to hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been disclosed.
Authorities confirmed the incident took place after the graduation ceremony had ended. Police are searching for the suspect and have urged anyone with information to come forward.
The shooting remains under investigation, while local school officials said classes will continue as scheduled.
