one person was killed, and two others were injured in a shooting in the Bronx, New York, Al Ain reported on Saturday.
Reports of the shooting before University Heights Secondary School in the Bronx were transported to the New York Police Department Friday afternoon.
The three-shot victims were found at Saint Ann's Avenue and East 156th Street in Melrose, Bronx.
Shortly, authorities confirmed that one of the victims was pronounced dead. She was 16 years old, and shot in the chest.
Regarding the wounded, one was a 17-year-old boy who was shot in the buttocks, and the other was a 16-year-old girl who was shot in the leg. Both were expected to recover and survive.
Regarding the identity of the shooter, Deputy Police Chief Timothy McCormack said: “We believe that they are coming from school, that they were heading home."
Although the incident was captured on video, the police couldn't identify it.
Last month, Bronx saw a fatal shooting as one man was killed, and another one was injured.
According to authorities, the two victims (one dead, other injured) were shot in front of a block at 7:30 pm, and they aged 30 years old.
The dead person was shot in the chest and was declared dead after he was transported to Lincoln Hospital, while the other was shot in the leg, and he was in a stable condition.
No any suspects were reported and the investigations are still ongoing.
Last January, police officer and an armed suspect were injured during a confrontation between them in the Belmont area, Bronx, New York City, on Tuesday.
