Authorities in the United States confirmed that a shooting inside a country club in New Hampshire left one person dead and several others injured on Saturday night local time.
New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella and Nashua Police Chief Kevin Rourke said the victim was an adult male who was shot inside the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua.
The suspected gunman, also an adult male, was taken into custody at the scene. Officials clarified that earlier reports suggesting multiple shooters were inaccurate.
Police added that there was no further threat to the public, though details about the condition of the injured victims were not immediately available.
Footage aired by WMUR-TV showed emergency crews flooding the scene shortly after the incident.
Nashua is located about 45 miles (70 kilometers) northwest of Boston, near the Massachusetts border.
