1 Dead, 5 Injured in Iowa School Shooting

Officials in the state of Iowa, the US, have reported that one student was killed and five others injured this Friday when a teenager opened fire at a school in the state.

According to authorities, as reported by the American channel "Alhurra," the suspect is a 17-year-old student at Perry High School, and officers who responded to the incident found the suspect dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The five injured individuals consist of four students and one school staff member, and all of them are in stable condition, with their lives not at risk.

Perry is a town with a population of around 7,900 residents, located about 64 kilometers northwest of Des Moines, the capital of the state.

The incident has shocked the community, and investigations are ongoing to determine the motives behind the shooting.
