A woman was confirmed dead and five others were injured in a public stabbing on Saturday at a public library in the suburb of Vancouver, western Canada.
"We have six victims who were stabbed. One of them unfortunately died of her wounds, ”Police Sgt. Frank Jang said at a news conference.
"We think we have the only suspect in custody ... Obviously the question is why this happened," Jang added.
A video clip from the scene appeared to show a man stabbing himself with a knife before being taken into police custody.
