A tragic helicopter crash in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, eastern China, claimed one life and injured four others on Friday, according to local emergency authorities.
The Robinson R44 II helicopter went down at approximately 5 p.m. local time while returning from a flight at an altitude of just 10 meters. Authorities confirmed that the aircraft suddenly crashed during its descent.
One individual on the ground was killed as a result of the incident. All four people aboard the helicopter sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. Officials reported that none of the injuries are currently considered life-threatening.
Local emergency services responded swiftly to the crash site, and an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
The Civil Aviation Administration of China and local aviation experts are expected to review flight data and maintenance records of the aircraft as part of the ongoing inquiry.
