The World Gold Council has recently received reports of impersonation scams involving fraudulent websites and individuals falsely claiming to represent the organization.

According to the Council, these scams may involve the unauthorized use of its name, branding, or logo, as well as individuals posing as WGC employees in an attempt to direct victims to fake login pages or promote fraudulent investment opportunities that have no connection to the World Gold Council.

The WGC emphasized that it does not provide investment advice, sell or market gold or any other financial products, open trading accounts for customers, or request money transfers under any circumstances.

The Council urged the public to exercise caution when receiving communications from individuals or entities claiming to represent the organization, particularly if they request personal information, financial details, or fund transfers. Such requests should be treated as strong indicators of fraudulent activity.

The World Gold Council also advised anyone who believes they have been targeted by such scams, or who has received suspicious communications, to contact local law enforcement authorities immediately and report the incident.
