Anna Bjerde, Vice President of the World Bank Group for Operations praised the results of the economic reform implemented by the government in Egypt, the success in completing the agreement with the International Monetary Fund, and the completion of the Ras El Hekma deal.
Bjerde also highlighted Egypt’s efforts, in coordination with various development partners to support their participation in specific projects.
She also stressed the importance of focusing on the health and education sectors and increasing per capita income.
This came during the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank held in Washington.
The ongoing coordination between national authorities on the one hand and the World Bank on the other hand was also discussed regarding the implementation of the Climate Adapted Agricultural Food Transformation (CRAFT) project, one of the projects within the food axis of the “NWFE” program.
