Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy attended Monday evening the closing ceremony of the 5th edition of the "El Amal el Awal lil Mawhoben" literary competition.
The event was organized by the Ministry in cooperation with the "Dar Al Maaref" foundation.
The ceremony was attended by a number of officials including, journalist writer Head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation Karam Gabr, Saeed Abdo, Chairman of the Directors Board of Dar Al Maarif, journalists, chair and board of directors of newspapers, as well as Senate and parliament members.
The Orchestra of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, led by Maestro Mazen Draz, had participated in the ceremony.
Sobhy affirmed that projects and programs are being implemented to discover young talents across the country in various fields in light of the ministry’s strategy and directives of the political leadership to discover and sponsor talent.
Abdo also commented that Egypt has distinguished young talents, and the foundation seeks, in cooperation with various authorities and universities, to shed light on these talents.
At the end of the ceremony, the Minister of Youth and Sports, the President of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, and Dar Al Maaref chairman presented the awards to the winners of novel, short story, and social caricature competitions.
