Zamalek head coach Patrice Carteron said on Monday that his club would not play the Egyptian League derby against Al Ahly till now.
The White Knights are set to clash against the Red Devils later today at Cairo Stadium (19:00 CLT)
Regarding the cancellation of today's training session, the French coach refused to comment on that matter.
On Sunday, Zamalek board of directors, chaired by Mortada Mansour decided not to resume the ongoing Egyptian Premier League season.
"The club will not play any matches in the Egyptian league in the presence of the Current EFA’s normalization committee headed by Amr El-Ganainy," the White Knights’ board of directors said in a statement.
This decision came in response to the recent penalties imposed by the disciplinary committee of the EFA on a number of Al-Ahly and Zamalek players, due to the clashes, which broke out after the Super Cup match.

It is worth mentioning Zamalek managed to lift their fourth Super Cup title after defeating Al Ahly 4-3 on penalties.
Nine days ago, the Whites thrashed Espérance Sportive de Tunis 3-1 in the CAF Super Cup to claim their fourth trophy.
Zamalek are set to clash once again against the Tunisian Side in the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League, while the Red Devils are set face Mamelodi Sundowns.
