Zamalek board of directors, chaired by Mortada Mansour decided not to resume the ongoing Egyptian Premier League season.

"The club will not play any matches in the Egyptian league in the presence of the Current EFA's normalization committee headed by Amr El-Ganainy," the White Knights' board of directors said in a statement.

This decision came in response to the recent penalties imposed by the disciplinary committee of the EFA on a number of Al-Ahly and Zamalek players, due to the clashes, which broke out after the Super Cup match.
