Every year, Egypt marks the anniversary of the 30 June Revolution to celebrate freedom from the shackles of the Muslim Brotherhood that sought to destabilize the country while pushing it to the brink of failure.

The date June 30, 2013, was engraved into Egypt's modern history as the day that the Egyptian army protected the country from the policies of the Muslim Brotherhood group and supported the will of millions of Egyptians.

The uprising concluded seven months of protests that started when the Brotherhood government issued a highly controversial constitutional declaration that gave Brotherhood-affiliated president, Mohamed Morsi temporary sweeping powers over the state’s judicial system until the new constitution was passed.

The 30th of June revolution in 2013 was not only the savior for Egypt but also a catalyst as Egypt began its journey to not just repair but to rise above and beyond the state that it once was.
