Syrian actress Wafaa Salem is stepping away from acting.
Salem noted Wednesday in a video shared on YouTube that she will unveil her reasons at a later time.
She also expressed her great gratitude to everyone who asked about her after her recent health crisis.
Salem made headlines recently viral after undergone plastic surgery to correct facial deformities that resulted from a botched cosmetic procedure.
Salem, born on July 23, 1964, made her acting debut in the 1984 film "The Black Tiger", starring Ahmed Zaki .
She then starred in numerous films such as including "A Smile on Sad Eyes" (1989) and "Marriage and Summer" (1985).
Salem then switched her career to television and starred in productions such as "Harun al-Rashid" (1997) and "El Daly" (2008).
