Fouad Sharaf El Din, a veteran Lebanese actor, director and writer, died on Tuesday after undergoing a delicate head surgery. He was 83.
The late star's funeral will take place at 03:00 PM on Wednesday, May 29, in Rawdat Al Shahidain cemetery in Beirut.
Prior to his death, El Din had recently been admitted to the hospital due to some kidney pain before recovering.
The late star participated in the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon with the TV series “2024”, and also starred in the movie “El Rab Yarani.”
However, his health deteriorated and he was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor.
He underwent a resection at Notre Dame De Liban Hospital and was in high morale before the operation.
El Din recovered and left for his home, however, his health suddenly deteriorated, and he lost a lot of blood.
He was admitted again to Haroun Hospital and received a blood donation, where he was due to undergo tests and x-rays on Wednesday.
Born on April 12, 1941, El Din rose to stardom in the seventies and eighties. He was known for his action roles.
That late star was also known for his roles in Egyptian TV productions such as "Malika fee El Manfa", "Khatout Hamra", "Halawet Elrouh", "Ras Al-Ghoul", and "El Ab El Rohi".
El Din is also famous for playing General Adam Frank in the 2018 Egyptian war film "Harb Karmooz".
