Today marks the American National Independence Day, also known as "The Fourth of July".

The day aims to commemorate the establishment of the United States of America and its independence from the Great Britain empire.

On this date every year, the people of America celebrate the Fourth of July by coming together and by thanking all their national heroes for bringing them the freedom that they are enjoying today.

Moreover, the U.S. administration and the American privet sector celebrate Independence Day to express their gratitude to the army for their dedicated service. However, during the global conflicts and the outbreak of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the day holds a special significance considering the fact of how their warriors and politicians are working round the clock to help the country fight the recent world issues.

In addition to the above-mentioned, this day serves to honor all those warriors and Army staff who have selflessly aided American citizens in their time of need and worked tirelessly for their national security and territorial unity.

This day witnessed the signing of the Document of Independence in 1776, in which the Britain empire declared that the 13 American colonies were no longer under British rule and were free, independent states.

Two years later, the Massachusetts General Court became the first state legislature to recognize July 4th as a state celebration. It wasn’t until 1870 that the US Congress made Independence Day an unpaid federal holiday for governmental employees and until 1938 that Congress changed Independence Day to a paid federal holiday.
