U.S. Embassy in Egypt Marks 246th Independence Day

The U.S. Embassy in Egypt celebrated the 246th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America on Monday.

Independence Day or the Fourth of July is a very special occasion for all Americans, as it represents an opportunity to mark the democratic principles that were the basis of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. It is also an important day to reflect on the strength of the U.S.-Egypt partnership.

On the occasion of America’s Independence Day, the American Embassy said: "The U.S. Embassy in Cairo is excited to celebrate 246 years of independence of the United States of America with our Egyptian partners! We are grateful for a century of close ties between our countries and proud of what we will continue to accomplish together."
