US Decides Sending extra COVID-19 Vaccine Doses to Africa

The US decided to send extra COVID-19 vaccine doses to several African countries which compete against the pandemic, media agencies reported on Thursday.

Also, it aims to assist those countries to attempt to reduce the outbreak of the virus in Africa. Therefore, South Africa would receive more than five million and a half Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses. Moreover, Nigeria will receive four million COVID-19 vaccine doses.

Early this month, the number of Coronavirus cases in the African continent has reached 5,600,000, according to the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).

It also added that the death toll from the pandemic stands at 146,000 and 4,900,000 patients across the continent have recovered.
