US F-18 Fighter Jet Falls into Sea

The US Navy reported that a US Navy F-18 fighter jet fell into the water of the Mediterranean from the aircraft carrier the USS Harry S. Truman, normally based in Norfolk.

A statement issued, Sunday, said that the accident occurred last Friday. It added: "The F-18 fighter fell out of the aircraft carrier "the USS Harry S. Truman"  due to a sudden storm that hit the sea.

The statement added, "The accident left one sailor injured, his health condition is now stable and nothing threatens his life. As for the fighter that fell into the water, it it was taken out of it, and it is ready to continue carrying out its main tasks.
